FESCO serves millions of customers across Punjab with varying electricity rates that depend on consumption levels and customer categories. Understanding these tariff structures helps consumers better manage their monthly electricity bills and make informed decisions about their power usage.

NEPRA has approved a 4.2% reduction in electricity tariffs for distribution companies including FESCO, bringing rates down to an average of Rs34 per unit for the 2025-26 fiscal year. This change affects residential, commercial, and industrial consumers differently based on their usage patterns and connection types.

FESCO Tariffs and Unit Rates

FESCO Tariff and Unit Rate Explained

The FESCO electricity tariff is the approved price structure by NEPRA that decides how much you pay for your electricity each month. It includes fixed charges and unit rates based on your connection type, sanctioned load, and monthly usage slab.

The unit rate is the cost per unit (1 kWh) of electricity. Your monthly bill is calculated by multiplying your consumed units with the applicable unit rate, plus any fixed charges or taxes.

Example: If your unit rate is Rs. 30 and you use 200 units, your variable charges will be Rs. 6,000.

Knowing the latest FESCO unit rates helps you understand your bill and manage electricity usage more efficiently.

Key Takeaways related to Fesco Tariff

After an announcement of reduction of Rs. 1.49 per unit in the base electricity tariff for the fiscal year 2025-2026, the new tariff brought down to Rs. 34.01. This has provided some relief to consumers and businesses both.

There are online calculators provided by third-party websites and sometimes by the FESCO website. By entering expected unit usage, consumers can see an estimate of their monthly bill. This helps in planning before the official bill arrives.

Checking the FESCO bill status directly with a CNIC number is not supported. The usual method requires the bill’s reference number. Some third-party applications may offer extra features, but the FESCO website itself asks for the reference number.

Faisalabad residents can check bills online through the FESCO website, at bank branches, post offices, customer service centers, and through mobile apps. Most online options only require the bill reference number for access. This makes it convenient to keep up with billing details from multiple sources.
