FESCO Connection
Do you want to apply for a new FESCO connection or change the existing connection ? your search ends here. In this article, We‘ll guide you how you can apply for a new connection or change the name/load/tariff of an existing connection.
FESCO New Connection Procedure
There are two options for applying for a new connection. You can visit the FESCO office of your division in person or apply online. We suggest you should apply online through Electricity New Connection(ENC) System as it is easy and time saving.
Please follow these steps to apply for the new connection.
- Visit ENC official site.
- Click on the apply button from the sidebar menu.
- Input the reference number of any of your neighbor and choose the category type of the connection you want to apply for i.e 15kW.
- Enter the required details and upload the following required documents (Maximum file size 300 KB).
- Property document copy
- Attested Id card copy of applicant
- Attested Id card copy of witness
- Neighbor Electricity Bill Copy
- Wiring Contractor`s Test Report
- Submit the application.
- On successful submission, a unique tracking id will be generated for you. Please note down your tracking Id for future reference.
- Click on the print button and input your tracking ID to print your application form.
- Take a print of your application form.
- Please attach the required documents to the application and submit it to the concerned office.
- Demand notice will be available after verification of your documents. You can download the demand notice by entering your tracking Id on the ENC website.
- Pay the demand notice to the designated bank.
- Send the paid copy of the demand notice to the concerned office.
- After verification of payment, connection will be installed.

Category-Wise steps and Estimated Time
FESCO has divided the connection types into three categories with respect to load.
- Category One (Up to 15kW)
- Category Two (16 to 70 kW / 400 volts)
- Category Three (71 to 500 kW / 400 volts)
Note: The consumer needs to purchase his own transformer In order to apply for more than 400 volts.
The detail of the steps and estimated time required for each category is as follows
Category One (Up to 15kW):
The consumers, with load up to 15 kW, will apply for Category one . SDO / Assistant Manager Operation has the rights to approve the request of this category. Category One processing takes 30 days approximately.
The detailed steps to apply for category one connection is as follows.
You will receive a receipt from the office on submission of the application. They will share a queue of application, and you will be able to see your position. | 1 day |
The fesco team will visit the location and check the possibility of the connection. | 3 days |
Cost will be calculated if connection setup is possible. | 2 days |
The applicant will receive the demand notice in person or by post. | 2 days |
The applicant will submit the receipt of the paid demand notice. | 2 days |
The applicant will submit Wiring Contractor`s Test Report. FESCO office will verify it. | 3 days |
The office will prepare a queue of applicants in accordance with the dues submission date. | 1 day |
The office will issue the orders of service connection. | 3 days. |
The office will approach the concerned department to provide the necessary equipment to set up the connection. | 3 days |
The store will provide the necessary equipment. | 5 days |
SDO / Assistant Manager will set up the connection after the availability of equipment. | 5 days |
Category Two (16 to 70 kW / 400 volts)
The consumer with load between 16 to 70 kW / 400 volts will apply for category two. The process for this category is almost same as of category one except the process can take up to 73 days.
Category Three (71 to 500 kW / 400 volts)
The consumer with load between 71 to 500 kW / 400 volts will apply for category three. The process for this category is almost same as of category one except the process can take up to 73 days.. The manager of Operation will approve the connection request for this category.
Change Connection Name/Tariff/Load
- Visit the official ENC website.
- From the sidebar menu, click the “Change” option.
- Select the type of change you want to apply for, like a change of name, load, or tariff. You can select more than one if needed.
- Fill in only the necessary details. For example, if you are applying for changing load, fill in only the fields required for that change.
- Attach the following documents (each file should not exceed 300 KB):
- A copy of your attested Id card(applicant’s ID)
- A copy of your fesco bill
- Proof of ownership
- Submit your application.
- You’ll get a tracking ID on submission. Save this ID for future reference.
- Next steps are same as mentioned for new connection application.
FESCO New Connection Tracking
You can check the status of your application for a new fesco connection or Change of name/tariff/load. To check the status of your application, you need the Tracking ID of your application which was assigned to you after submitting the application form.
- Visit the ENC site.
- click on Track button from the sidebar.
- Choose the application type i.e new connection or Change of name/tariff/load.
- Choose the company which is FESCO in this case.
- Enter your Tracking ID and hit the submit button.
